It was in 1972 that Mr. João Matias, known as João Padeiro, began roasting goat in the wood oven to bake bread that was then served by his wife, Conceição Matias, to diners who visited the region.
Since then, the menu has been improved and the space expanded, offering the best of traditional Portuguese cuisine.
