Colares Demarcated Region

The tasting of Colares wines is possible in one of the wine-cellars of the region, by previous appointment with one of the producers.

The municipal space Vila Alda – Casa do Elétrico (the Tram House) provides the visitor with a unique experience, linking the Sintra Tram, the Sintra Atlântico line, with the historical tradition of the Colares region.

It is also the setting for wine-tasting, within the context of events promoted by the Town Hall. On a visit to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of the European continent, at the local Tourist Office, you can also buy a bottle of Wine from Colares and taste it while watching a wonderful sunset.

The visitor can get a certificate of attendance manuscript handwriting, as a reminder of passage through the westernmost point of mainland Europe, choosing between two versions, both with the price of 11.00€.

There is also a certificate in Braille with the price of 4.50€.

Vila Alda

Creating an association between the Sintra Tram and the historic wine of Colares, Vila Alda – Casa do Elétrico (the Tram House) is used for events and wine tastings.
